This Amish handmade, wooden lid provides protection for your stair basket’s contents and will provide added natural beauty to your basket. It is a flat board of stained wood with rounded corners and one small turned knob in the center, cut to cover the whole 18 by 9 inch top of the Large Wicker Stair Basket, the tall section and the upper section together. On the basket it rests under the two leather strap handles, so the basket still carries up the stairs by its straps with the lid in place. To open it, tip the straps aside and lift the lid off by its knob. A lid keeps a curious dog's nose out of the basket and hides what is waiting to go upstairs until it is carried up. If you already own the stair basket, this is the lid to order, and it is also optional right on the stair basket's page. It is made for the stair basket. Handmade in an Old Order Amish community in the Heartland of the USA.
