Wicker Dog Beds, Woven By Hand
A wicker dog bed is a basket a dog can climb into: a low dip in the front to step over, a raised back and ends to lean against, and a solid wood bottom under it all. Ours come in three sizes, each woven for a range of dog weights, and each has a hand-sewn Sherpa fleece cushion cut to fit inside it. Cats use them just as happily.
Every bed is woven by hand in the home of an Old Order Amish family along the Iowa-Missouri border, of rattan reed over hardwood posts, and signed by the family member who wove it. Plain, Wine & Blue and Wine & Green are the three trims.

The Small Wicker Dog Bed: dogs up to 20 pounds
The Small Wicker Dog Bed is 23 1/2 by 17 1/2 inches and 7 1/2 inches tall, with a front dip nearly 4 inches high, low enough for a short-legged dog or an older one. It suits a Bichon Frise, a Maltese, a Shih Tzu, a Pomeranian or a Dachshund, and it is the bed people choose for a cat. Its cushion is the Small Dog Bed Pillow, 22 1/2 by 16 1/2 inches.
The Medium Wicker Dog Bed: dogs from 15 to 35 pounds
The Medium Wicker Dog Bed is 29 1/2 by 20 1/2 inches and 8 inches tall, for a Beagle, a Boston Terrier, a Cocker Spaniel or a French Bulldog. Its cushion is the Dog Pillow Bed, 28 1/2 by 19 1/2 inches.

Between two sizes
Read the weight on each page, since that is the dog each bed is built for. When a dog sits right on the line, going up a size gives room to stretch out. The sides are straight, so each listed size is the whole footprint, top and bottom.
The Dog Bone Basket: a toy box for dogs
The Dog Bone Basket is 17 3/4 by 11 1/2 inches and 7 3/4 inches tall, open on top so a dog can reach in, on a solid wood bottom. It holds the toys, the leashes and the treats.
The cushions
Each cushion is a double layer of deep Sherpa fleece on the top and the bottom with a soft filled center, about 3 inches thick, in one cream color, and each is cut an inch smaller than its bed so it settles in. Add one on the bed's page or order it later on its own. The whole pillow goes in the washing machine on a delicate setting, then air dries or tumbles on a cool setting, and it comes back softer.
Built to be lived with
The beds sit flat on their solid wood bottoms. For a finished floor, protective feet, four glides about a quarter inch tall, are optional on each page. An engraved solid brass plate with your dog's name is optional on every bed and on the bone basket.
