Why don’t the Amish dolls have faces?

It is an old tradition in the Amish community. The faceless doll goes back to the Bible verse about not making graven images, and it carries the belief that all are alike in the eyes of God.

What size doll fits the cradle, and does bedding come with it?

The cradle measures 20 inches by 10 inches inside, so it holds dolls up to 18 inches, including American Girl, Our Generation, Madame Alexander, and Sophia’s. Bedding is not included. You can add the 3 piece bedding set, or one of our Amish cloth dolls, right on the cradle’s page.
