• Nuts One Side, Shells The Other: Each basket is 6 1/2 inches across and 4 1/4 inches tall, 13 1/2 inches end to end: a pound of peanuts in the shell on one side, the empty shells on the other. The pivot between them turns, so the shell basket tips to empty while the nut basket stays put, and the two twist apart into a pair of single baskets.
• Not Only Peanuts: Pistachios, walnuts and pecans crack the same way, and with the shells gone it is a two-bowl snack basket for popcorn and chips, or the candy dish on the bar.
