It is the traditional round shape of a vintage Easter basket, with the handle arched over the middle. Robin chose it for a first Easter: "We ordered this for our baby girl's first Easter. We wanted something she could use forever and this is perfect right down to the name plate." Judy's was a "Beautiful basket for my grandson's first Easter."

Until 2021 this basket was sold as the Medium Round Easter Basket. The size names moved down a step that year and the baskets kept their measurements, so a medium round bought before then is this basket. For the same depth with a little more length, the Small Oval Easter Basket is 12 x 9; one size up, today's Medium Round Easter Basket is 12 1/2 inches across and 6 1/4 deep. The sizes are the outside of the rim.

A liner ordered with the basket arrives tied in place, and a pastel liner on the plain basket is a favorite combination. The engraved brass plate takes a name, a date or a short line, up to 22 characters on each of two lines, and is screwed to the front band with two small brass screws before the basket ships. A plate can also be ordered on its own later, screws included, for a basket you already have.
