This wicker bag is a full-size carryall, woven by hand of rattan reed over a wood bottom. The top opening measures 17 by 7 1/2 inches and the bag stands 12 inches tall; the 17 inches is measured at the top, and the sides taper gently toward the bottom. Set it down and it stands upright and open on its own, ready for a trip to the farmers market, a stack of library books, a school day's papers, a knitting project, or everything you want kept in reach beside your chair. The two handles are hand-cut US steerhide, 3/4 inch wide and 24 inches long overall, riveted at the rim, and they carry in the hand or in the crook of the arm. It is plenty strong for as much as you need to carry, a laptop included. This is a full-size tote, 17 by 7 1/2 by 12 inches, open on top. A washable cloth liner in Cream, Wine, Blue or Green, sewn for this bag with four bonnet ties, is optional on this page, and so are protective feet and an engraved solid brass plate.
