How big is the Dog Bone Basket?

One size: 17 3/4 inches long, 11 1/2 inches wide at the ends and 7 3/4 inches tall, open on top, woven of rattan reed over a solid wood bottom.

It is a toy box for dogs: squeaky toys, rope pulls and balls, and the leashes, treats and coats that gather by the door. The open top lets a dog reach in for a favorite toy, and the solid bottom keeps a tennis ball from rolling through.

Are the measurements inside or outside?

Every measurement we publish is the outside of the basket, measured across the top where it is widest.

How long does shipping take?

Standard free shipping arrives in 3 to 5 weekdays. Finished baskets in the Shipping Barn are sent out right away. Rush delivery is delivered in 2 to 4 weekdays. Special orders and custom sizes take 3 to 4 extra weeks before shipping.

We are not Amish ourselves, but we have been close friends with the local Amish community for over 30 years. We operate this marketplace to help four Amish families share their handcrafted baskets with you and preserve this traditional weaving craft.

Can I add a gift message?

Yes! Enter your message in the "Order Notes or Gift Message" box during checkout. No invoices or pricing information is included in the shipped box. Receipts go only to the buyer's email.

What is your return policy?

Your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed. You can exchange or return any basket at any time for a full refund, no questions asked. Customer is responsible for return shipping. Return address: Amish Baskets, 5833 118th Ave, Ottumwa, IA 52501.

Do you have holiday sales?

No. Our prices stay the same every day of the year, and popular baskets tend to sell out before the holidays, so there is nothing to gain by waiting.

About This Basket

Shaped Like A Dog Bone, 17 3/4" Long
Open Top So The Dog Can Reach In
Solid Wood Bottom, Tight Woven Sides
Toys, Leashes, Treats And Coats
Made By Old-Order Amish Families
Signed By The Amish Craftsperson

Keep your dog and puppy treats, chew toys, leashes and the rest of your dog's essentials neatly stored away in this Amish handcrafted dog bone shaped pet toy basket. The playful dog bone shape and authentic Amish woven wicker used in crafting this dog toy storage basket will accent your rustic, country, primitive, vintage, or farmhouse home decor, from the entryway or mudroom to the living room or den. It measures 17 3/4 inches long, 11 1/2 inches wide at the ends and 7 3/4 inches tall, one size, woven of rattan reed over a solid stained wood bottom, so a squeaky toy or a tennis ball stays in the basket instead of rolling through it. The open top has no lid and no handles, which is the point of a dog toy box: your puppy or dog can reach in for a favorite toy or blanket any time, and cleanup at the end of the day is a matter of tossing everything back in. An engraved solid brass plate with your pet's name is optional on this page, and so are protective feet for a finished floor. This decorative dog bone shaped dog chew toy basket is handcrafted by Old-Order Amish families in the Heartland of the USA, signed by the crafter who makes it, and ships free to anywhere in the contiguous United States. Contents not included.

Built the Amish Way

Woven on Family Farms

Every basket comes from a family farm in the Heartland, where the workshop sits a few steps from the house and the craft is part of daily life.

Built to Last

The solid wood bottom is cut from furniture-grade layered birch and secured with solid brass nails. A base that will not warp, even after years of use.
