This primitive Amish faceless cloth folk doll is sure to be a cherished treasure for generations to come. Each doll is sewn by hand in our Amish community, a soft stuffed cloth doll with separate arms and legs. The traditional Amish dolls are faceless to be in agreement with the Bible's commandment against graven images, which is why an Amish doll has no face. Each primitive doll measures 18” tall and comes complete with removable Amish clothing featuring a cloth dress, apron, and bonnet: the dress in burgundy, blue or green, with a black apron and a black bonnet that ties under the chin. Each doll is handmade in the USA and is signed by the Amish artisan who crafted the doll, on the doll's body under her clothes, so open her dress to find the name. One owner wrote, "I love that the family signed her." She is the same 18 inch size as our Amish Boy Doll, and many give the two together; either one can also be added to our Doll Cradle, woven for dolls up to 18 inches, right on the cradle's page.
